Guide provides explanation of the exhibits geared to the age level of students or area of emphasis. Tour lasts about an hour. $2 per person including chaperones.
School Group Walk-Through with or without Movie (age 4-6): This minimal tour is geared to the lower age groups. It includes stops at the Sand Table, Bathysphere, Shell Room, the Dive, Shark Cage, Mid-Water Sounds, Murals, and the Teddy Tucker Shipwreck Gallery. "Walk-Through" lasts about an hour. Educational colouring sheets included. $2 per person including chaperones.
Educational Movies with or without accompanying Activity: Selection of over 330 videos of various lengths and topics shown daily** in our 148 seat Tradewinds Auditorium at 11 AM and 2 PM. Special arrangements and selections may be made if done in advance. Seats have fold-up table arms.
Educational Movie Activity: Activity is catered to the teacher's request. May involve a mini-presentation or demonstration and movie with accompanying questionnaire sheet for students to do during the movie. Follow-up may be done on site or back in the classroom with answer key or handouts provided to the teacher. $2 per person including chaperones.
Computer Activities: Numerous interactive educational software programmes, games, and Internet sites involving Marine Biology, Oceanography, Deep Sea Technology, El Nino, Global Change, and Maps and Navigation are available to be utilized in the Computer Room at BUEI. The room will accommodate a class of 20 primary or middle school students or 10 high school students. Activities can be made inter-disciplinary. $2 per person including chaperones.
Educational Lecture Series: Popular evening series that features world renown experts in their fields as well as accomplished Bermuda locals. The lecture series schedule for the year can be faxed to all schools upon request. See Calendar page on this site.
Special Activities: Any "Special Event" announcement of educational interest will be faxed to all schools and forwarded to the appropriate department. Generally free of charge, sign-up is on a first call, first sign-up basis. Announcements of subject, time and dates will be faxed to schools.
School/Classroom Visitations: Various lecturers and BUEI International Advisors volunteer to personally talk to classes. Schools and pertinent departments will be faxed when these opportunities become available. Please note that these "guest speakers" select the age group and sometimes the schools to which they wish to visit. No charge.
Exhibitions: Any information on upcoming exhibitions will be faxed to the schools as they are scheduled.
Personalized School Group Activity: If you have a special educational request that involves topics covered at the BUEI, please contact the Education/Research Coordinator. We will do our best to accommodate you. $2 per person including chaperones.

*BUEI is a not-for-profit registered charity. It was built by private donations. It is maintained by income from its own revenues and support from local and overseas individuals and corporations. It receives no Government financial aid.
